The Third Invocation of ABRAXAS
by Shade Oroboros
I sing the god who is a single star,
burning in the aethyrs of the Night.
I sing the god of many forms,
who remains forever formless.
The wheel of worlds is turning,
and the word of silence spoken.
The mask is joy & beauty,
the breath love under will.
I sing of the Child who is serpent & hawk,
of the Self that finds No Other.
I sing of the dancing cosmos,
the same within and without.
My spirit flows through many colors
in the rainbow and the labyrinth
Yet finds in All the Two made Naught,
the Light in Dark, the Dark in Light.
I have named the ever nameless God:
It Is ABRAXAS!
Ecstasy, the soul of flame, the perfect stone,
the Tree struck by lightning in the holy Night.
Emptiness held in my Hand,
Eternity in my Eye.
